Our pig provider was going out of business so we received sale prices for all of the animals. Starting last week16 families received the gift of a hog. The hogs were all older and some were already pregnant.
Today (1/13/20122) Gorrett Nabandeke, hog delivered 9 babies. After the piglets are weaned 3 piglets will be given away to 3 other families. Gorrett and her family can sell or keep the other piglets.
Next week 36 other families will receive the gift of a big. Total cost of the project $4,000.00
There is no end to the opportunities with this project. We are looking for an investor for a sausage and pork jerky business.This business will purchase the hogs from the families in Bakka village. It will produce sausage and pork jerky to sell. Providing income for many more people in the village. ( butcher, transport, spices sales team etc.) This is an investment the Business will start paying back the investor in 2 years.
