The kids will be returning to School on Monday

The children from the Christian Mission Academy will be returning to school tomorrow. Their 2 weeks off was during the rainy season.   Imagine camping in a leaky mud hut in 80 degree weather during torrential downpours.  When the sun comes out so do the mosquitos.

When the children and teachers return to school they will find many gifts waiting.  The baby class will have small plastic chairs to sit in while they use the benches for desks.  The teachers have been provided a pay increase, plus they will also have a desk, chair and rolling cabinet to keep their supplies in.  The shipment sent last October finally arrived filled with books and school supplies.

We will be hiring  second cook and a second pot.  I am praying  so hard that we will reach 104 children sponsored.  When we reach this goal the children will be provided a more nourishing meal 1time a week. Now they only receive porridge.

We have replaced the drainage system from the roof to the water tank to capture more of the rain.  This will keep the kids in the classroom so they won't have to fetch water.

This year when I go my plan is to bring every child a gift.  In the past one of the hardest things I have done is to provide gifts for only the sponsored children with 325 other children are wondering why they don't have someone in the US that loves them.  Every child will receive a nylon backpack filled with school supplies.
The cost is $10.00 each  please consider a one time donation to provide a gift for a child.
