More amazing news from 2013!
All thirteen, 7th grade students passed their entrance exams.  We now have 21 students in Middle School. The first three  graduating students, Peter, Regina and Josephine are now in the 10th grade and will be our first middle school graduating class!

We raised enough to pay all of 21 of childrens school fees.  This years graduating class need to purchase uniforms and school supplies, $100.00 each.  Please consider donating to help with the cost of their secondary education.

God is doing amazing things this year!  I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what he is going to do next!

The Sad from 2013

I have reported the good that is happening this year with the project. But there are some very sad situations too.
Pastor Deo the minister at the Christian Mission Academy's , 11 year old son Samuel died this week from Malaria.   In Uganda if you can't pay no treatment. By the time our on the ground team found out that the child was sick, it was too late to make a difference.

Neilko and his sister are living with their  mom.  Their Mom is very weak with HIV and not able to care for her children they are in a very bad situation.

Masitula one of the sponsored children will not be returning to the Christian Mission Academy.  Her new guardian will not allow her.  Her guardian is her father sister.  Her father has been abusing her for years (unimaginable ways) and this young girl has been move from abusive situation to abusive situation.  The report is that she is not visually being abused in this home.   Masitual  is an innocent child that  touched my heart deeply and it brings me great sadness that  there is nothing we can do to help her receive a stable life.

2013 - AMAZING

14 days and 2013 is amazing. God is blessing this project abundantly.

1.  Agnes and Rose the young girls that make the jewelry and baskets I sell.   With a small investment from me and savings from the product they make  had enough money to open a retail store in their village.

2. Eight  Children sponsored in the first 4 days of the year.  Bringing the project to 74 we are closing in on the 104 needed to provide for the daily needs at the school.

3. A Piggery going out of business allowed us to fast track every family receiving an animal.

4. One of the hogs already had 9 piglets.  When the piglets are weaned 3 will be passed on to other families at the school.

5.  A very generous donation has provided for all the diagnostic kits needed to test the children for malaria, typhoid and HIV.

6. The jewelry / craft business has an official name Amakula-  The meaning in Lugadan is A gift for Royalty.   A website and more information will be coming.  Product will be sold from Uganda, US, Mexico and Columbia.  Expanding the product line as connections are made.

Hog- Delivery 2013

Our pig provider was going out of business so we received sale prices for all of the animals. Starting last week16 families received the gift of a hog.  The hogs were all older and some were already pregnant.
Today (1/13/20122) Gorrett Nabandeke,  hog delivered 9 babies.  After the piglets are weaned 3 piglets will be given away to 3 other families.  Gorrett and her family can sell or keep the other piglets.
Next week 36 other families will receive the gift of a big.  Total cost of the project $4,000.00

There is no end to the opportunities  with this project.  We are looking for an investor for a sausage and pork jerky business. This business will purchase the hogs from  the families in Bakka village. It will produce sausage and pork jerky to sell.  Providing income for many more people in the village.  ( butcher, transport, spices sales team etc.) This is an investment the Business will start paying back the investor in 2 years. The investment is  ~ $3000.00 contact me if you are interested in this opportunity.
